Review
Ok let me start this review by saying this…if you have a super computer and are a hard core gamer and play all the latest and greatest games….read no further. For the rest of you with average computers (even crapy ones like mine with a radeon 9200 video card!), War Rock is the game for you. It resembles Battlefield 1942 in a lot of ways but runs a lot easier on your craptastic computer! Not to mention it is FREE!!!
Now all the old school BF and BF2 gamers are gona say “oh it’s a watered down version of BF its crap blah blah blah”. Well maybe it doesn’t have as great of graphics and some things are not as complex as BF.
That translates into good things for the casual gamer! For one-the learning curve. War Rock is very easy to jump right in and play. Oh ya, did I mention it’s FREE? Another good thing about War Rock is, it’s a well made game with plenty of servers with people playing. For a game that’s in open Beta testing that’s a good thing.
War Rocks developers (K2 network) claim they are going to keep the game free even after Beta is over. Though there are upgrades you can buy for a minimal amount if you choose to have all the goods. The game play is still great even without the upgrades. The pay as you go system in online gaming is sure to become a trend so give it a try. The game is free so what do you have to lose?
