Put up your leggos kids and get ready for some real construction! The Half life 2 mod Sourceforts puts a great new twist on ctf type games.
Each team during the build phase, constructs their own defenses for there fort by using plates and boxes. Then try to capture each others flags during the combat phase. You have 5 classes to choose from: scout, soldier, engineer, rocketeer, and sniper. Once the combat phase has begun the engineers can fix your fort during the phase or go and steal plates and blocks from the enemy fort!! Busting holes in the defenses and allowing your team to score, making the engineer a very important role.
A good imagination goes far when constructing your base. Walls and tunnels work well at guiding the enemy to where you can make Swiss cheese out of them!
This game is allot of fun and is growing in popularity everyday. The only down side I've seen so far is the rampant griefing the goes on due to the lack of admins on most servers. This problem is slowly being addressed with admin mods and server growth (more admins on servers).For the most part though everyone is cool and has allot of fun.
It’s easy to learn how to build and fighting should be second nature to you by now so start shootin Tex!!
