Looks like there will be no more delays on Fortress Forever. Release date as of now on September 17th which is 6 days from now. This is official statement from http://www.fortress-forever.com/ :

It's finally here, on September 17th Fortress Forever will be officially released. A server package will be made available one day prior. Prepare to get your frag on!

We have a few bits of random media to go with the announcement, but admittedly all of our energies these past few weeks have been on getting our areas locked down and stable so we could make a solid announcement.

While this was happening Planethalflife recently wrote an exclusive preview on the mod, you can check it out here. Keep a lookout for an interview with them over the next few days.

If you like first person shooters, you should try paintball.
Now why am I saying that? First of all there are many similarities between fps games and actual game of paintball. It is already proven that playing consistently first person shooters will sharpen your hand eye coordination and will give you excellent reaction time.
Say, you are a king of Counter-Strike or Battlefield, wouldn’t you want to try it in real life? Of course, I’m not talking about dropping everything and going to your Army recruiter. There are easier ways to test your skills. I’m talking about paintball or even airsoft games, though airsoft usually more expensive to play then paintball.
For you to get into the paintball you do not have to buy a twelve hundred dollar gun. I personally had good experience with Icon X paintball guns; you can find them for about forty to seventy dollars. These guns are very reliable and run completely on air, no electronic parts. There is also no need to buy expensive paint balls; I get mine from Wal-Mart, make sure you get the ones that come in red box. Don’t forget to wear at least two layers of clothing, mask or a helmet and you will be good to go.
Get couple of your buddies, find a paintball park or just a nice wooded area to play, and you have your instant first person shooter game in real life. Use paintball to show off your skills or maybe even learn some team playing skills for your next online fps game. By the way, if you really get into paintball and decide to do scenario type of gaming, you can always upgrade to Tipmann A-5 paintball gun because of looks and reliability and modification side of it.
Another good reason to get into paintball is physical aspect of it. Instead of being a complete couch potato you can get a nice workout by playing paintball. Trust me, whether it is leapfrogging or just small sprints to the enemy base, you will get your heart pumping on excitement of being under fire alone.
Play paintball for all of these reasons, or play it because it could be lots of fun.
